A play sculpture made for Långsjöns kindergarten in Saltsjö-Duvnäs
On behalf of Nacka Municipality
Art Secretary: Nanna Leth
Project Maneger/Curator: Po Hagström
The idea was to create a play sculpture for and together with the children. The old kindergarten was completely destroyed after a fire, so a water sculpture seemed like an obvious choice!
The sculpture would become a new cult place for the children in order to prevent a fire from occurring again.
An analog Play sculpture where children themselves can pour water into the secret passages and gutters , building dams and let the leafs sail away .
It consists of a small lake monster in terrazzo that sits at the top and look out over the long lake on a modeled rock in fiber concrete with arcades in Höganäs mosaic. Above spread a horseshoe in the modeled concrete out.
Inaugurated in April 2016
